Tuck and Cover: Comic Series
Tuck and Cover is a passion project born from a simple yet powerful idea: a group of traveling drag queens on a quest to find their long-lost leader in a post-apocalyptic America. The Lillies of the Valley, a scrappy band of queer performers, traverse the barren wastelands in search of their "mother," who was kidnapped by a rival gang. Along the way, they encounter a range of individuals, using their vibrant personalities and performances to reveal the beauty of the world, gender fluidity, and self-expression through makeup and art.

The series delves into important themes like the limitations of gender binaries, the struggles of conformity, and the challenges of living within rigid gender roles. It explores the complexities of dysphoria, the inability to transition, and the deep need for love and acceptance. The queens’ journey highlights the human desire to break free from societal expectations and live authentically, reminding viewers that true humanity is found when we embrace our differences and live outside the lines.

At its core, Tuck and Cover is a comedic, over-the-top adventure with heart and compassion. Despite its post-apocalyptic setting, the series radiates hope for the betterment of human nature, showing that even in the darkest times, we can find light through self-expression, community, and love. It’s a celebration of queerness, resilience, and the boundless potential for transformation, with a hopeful vision for a world where everyone can live authentically.
